After
sampling the good cragging around Bishop,
we leave for Tuolumne Meadows. We've been there a few times before, including
during our last
bus trip.

Lucky
enough to find a camping spot.

We're
lucky enough to find a good site at the campground. Actually, it is fairly
typical to find available sites during the week, provided you arrive early
enough. Many sites are open today as a lot of people are leaving, having spent
the long 4th of July weekend in the park. Not too many of these sites are
practical for our bus though. In fact, we end up settling in the very same
site as on our last visit.

In a little
less than a week, we climb what are probably three of the best long routes
(IMHO) in the Meadows: Lucky
Streaks and the Regular
Route on Fairview Dome, and the Oz
and The Hobbit Book linkup on Drug and Mariolumne Domes.

Oz
(Drug Dome) can be linked with the Hobbit Book for a great day
of climbing.
